In Case of Severe Weather
Rain is No Match for The Challenge
All activities will continue as planned if we experience rain showers. However, we will not send participants out in thunderstorms or hard rain or if it looks like severe weather is on the way. We’ll evaluate each scheduled activity on a case by case basis, with your safety being the most important factor.
We Have a Plan for Severe Weather
If severe weather occurs at the event site, you will be able to take shelter inside one of the two buildings. Event organizers and volunteers will help you safely find your way, and they will also help you get to the shuttle and back to your vehicle if you are parked off-site.
Your safety is our top priority. While we want nothing more than to spend the day with you, please evaluate your own situation and make the decision that’s best for you. If severe weather seems imminent in the morning, we’ll understand if you decide to stay home.
No matter what happens with the weather, we’re making a difference! Every dollar raised at EMMC Champion the Cure Challenge stays right here in Maine to support patient care and research. Together, we’re making a difference.
